Review: Epson Workforce 610 Printer

Don’t let the blue-light special $200 price tag fool you — the Workforce 610 is a shockingly capable printer. It doesn’t use any sort of lasers, but who would have guessed that? Black-and-white prints come out fast (about 12 pages per minute in our tests) and look pretty dang good. Color prints are also fairly quick (4 x 6 glossy photos take about 70 seconds), and although a bit dull in the vibrancy department, they look good enough to pass around to friends.

Even better, the Workforce 610 includes networking features galore, letting you connect via Ethernet or Wi-Fi without buying additional hardware. Or you can just plug in via good-ol’ USB. But perhaps best of all is the fact that the Workforce 610, despite a name that suggests burliness, is small enough to stash just about anywhere. Lord knows no one wants an ugly printer as the office centerpiece. That’s what your Mac is for!
